Q. How much
are your pregnancy tests?
A. Our pregnancy tests are always free and are
self-administered. We provide the test for your use but ask
that you discuss the results with your doctor.
Q. What type and how accurate is the test used?
A. It is a urine test which is 99% accurate.
Q. How soon can I have a test?
A. The test can show positive 10 days past conception.
Q. Are you a medical clinic?
A. Not at this point in our development.
Q. Do you offer Ultrasound?
A. Again, not at this point in our development.
Q. Do I need an appointment?
A. We accept walk-ins, but you can also make an
appointment.
Q. How much are your other services?
A. All of our services and counselling are free.
Q. I am undecided what to do if I am pregnant. Will I get
information on all of my options?
A. Absolutely. We are committed to giving women full
disclosure information on abortion, adoption, and parenting.
Every woman's situation is unique and she deserves to know
all the facts so she can make an informed decision. We do
not believe in withholding information from women in the
decision-making process.
Q. I live outside the Annapolis Valley area of Nova
Scotia. The Valley Care Pregnancy Center is too far to
travel. How can I find a good pregnancy center near me?
A. We can still help. The Valley Care Pregnancy Center
is an affiliate of CareNet. CareNet will assist you in
finding a Crisis Pregnancy Center in your area. In the
Canada, Call 1-800-395-HELP (1-800-395-4357) and you will be
automatically forwarded to center in your area. Visit the
Care Net website at
http://www.care-net.org.
It contains a link to finding a Pregnancy Centre near you as
well as other helpful information.
